Top Ten Tuesday: 2013 Debuts I'm Looking Forward To

Geez, it seems like this week it's all about Debut Authors for 2013! And what a perfect way of announcing my participation in the 2013 Debut Author Challenge than this weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

The challenge consists of reading 12 books in 2013 that are author debuts, and I'm so excited for quite a few. So the topic for this week's Top Ten Tuesday is perfect! I will also be participating in another 2013 challenge, so look out for that soon! Now on to the TOP 3 list! I really wish I had the top 10 books, but I just started looking into this challenge, and haven't really heard much about other debuts! Let me know if you've heard of anything else that might sound interesting!

3. The Archived (The Archived #1), by Victoria Schwab
I've been so excited about this book since I saw it on NetGalley! Looks like such an amazing novel! I love the idea about the dead being stored like books on shelves; I just love books about books!

2. Nobody But Us, by Kristin Halbrook
This looks like such an amazing story! Also, if you get a chance to visit the YA Highway post on other authors and people in the industry recreating this cover, you'll laugh so hard it's awesome! I've heard great things about this one!

1. Altered (Altered #1), by Jennifer Rush
Ahhhhh sounds amazing! I've seriously never heard of something like this before, it sounds like a really interesting idea that I was kind of hesitant about, but I've heard so many good things about this book it's hard not to want to read it.

Once Upon a Readathon! Day 2

PHEW! This readathon has been brutal!... for me, anyway.
So day 2 meant Book 2, which was Crossed, by Ally Condie...

Aaaaaand....*drumroll*

I FINISHED as of Tuesday, 5:00PM CST

10:45 PM Started Daughter of Smoke and Bone, by Laini Taylor
10:50 Participated in Bailey's (IB Book Blogging) Mini Challenge.

Two questions:

What is your favorite cover that has been revealed this summer and why? Post a link or picture of the cover if you want.
Aaaaaah! So excited for this one, it's actually Clockwork Princess, by Cassandra Clare which was just revealed today!
Here's the cover:

I guess it's my favorite cover because it's a book I've been waiting for for so long, and I can't believe it will be here in almost a year! But, I'll have to wait and see!

Do you rely on the cover to help you choose whether you want to read a book or not?
If I'm completely honest, then yes. I do. Beautiful covers attract my eye at the store a lot more than simple ones. They make me read the back of the book, and sometimes they're so pretty I just want to have them on my bookshelf... BUT I have been disappointed quite a few times after I did this, so I've stopped buying books because of their cover alone.

I decided to join my first ever read a thon! I'm so excited for this one! It will run from July 9-11 and I'll just have four books on my to-read list 'cause I'm not sure how that will go. The books will be:

-A Clash of Kings, by George R. R. Martin (currently reading, so I hope to finish it then!)
-The Iron King, by Julie Kagawa
-Crossed, by Ally Condie
-Daughter of Smoke and Bone, by Laini Taylor
